  33. Can you find out what version of NT and which service packs are applied?
  34. I was completely unsuccessful with PAP on 3.5 with SP1,2 using RAS.
  35. I decoded the PPP authentication down to the byte (std disclaimers here :) ),
  36. and it appeared to me that NT RAS would immediately disconnect if CHAP w/DES
  37. (NT offered it as default) was denied. In 1.40, Holger may be doing
  38. something like not rejecting the auth. protocol, or maybe he -explicitly-
  39. rejects it. I don't know. No machine available to verify the problem under
  40. 3.51.
